Accra, June 5, 2025 — Renowned social media influencers and digital content creators, Berghold Kobby Wrinkler Ackon, widely known as Wode Maya and Benjamin Kojo Mensah known as Goshers on social media paid a working visit to Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.
The visit, centred on exploring collaborative opportunities to promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant tourism industry. With millions of followers across his digital platforms, Wode Maya is recognized for spotlighting African destinations and stories, making him a key ally in driving tourism to Ghana.
Discussions focused on how digital media can play a pivotal role in positioning Ghana as a preferred travel destination, particularly by harnessing Wode Maya’s global reach and influence to showcase the country’s unique traditions, historical sites, and cultural diversity.
The Ministry expressed its appreciation for Wode Maya’s continued efforts in promoting a positive image of Ghana and the broader African continent. This meeting marks an important step in strengthening public-private partnerships within the creative and tourism sectors. Also present at the meeting was Nana Adwoa Awindor, a veteran television host and the development Queenmother of Afigya-Kwabre District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
